Overview
Hydronic systems, often referred to as secondary refrigerant systems, are commonly used to
distribute cooling or heating in industrial refrigeration applications. These systems rely
on fluids such as glycol or chilled water rather than direct refrigerant expansion in occupied
or remote spaces.
This course introduces the fundamentals of hydronic system design, including pumping strategies,
air removal, flow balancing, and common applications such as underfloor heating in refrigerated
warehouses.
